Coin Custodians

Have you ever wondered where that coin you bought from your neighborhood or online coin collectors store came to be in your possession? Well obviously you purchased it but what if the coin could talk and tell you of whom its first owner was and all the previous owners?

We are simply “Custodians of Coins” therefore we aren’t really coin collectors at all! We keep the coins in our possession safe for future generations to enjoy. We should covet such treasures and share them with others so they can too relish in these National Treasures. All our worldly possession will become someone else’s after we pass on, so it is important that some of us preserve a little bit of us in a hobby or coin collection to inspire others to do likewise.

It would be neat if all coin collectors started writing their own pedigrees for the coins in their possession before moving them on to other collectors or if you will “coin custodians”. It sure would be interesting to check out where the coins have been, especially if the past owners wrote down some tidbits about why, where, why they bought or sold the coin.
