5 Ounce America The Beautiful Silver Coins Available
Posted Under: Coins for sale
We have been fortunate enough to obtain a very limited quanity of the 2010 5 oz American The Beautiful Silver Bullion sets for our customers. We had to purchase these from the secondary market but to honor the requests to offer these silver coins on Coin Collectors Store, we obliged. These coins come in PCGS GEM BU First Strike designation. They are 3″ in diameter and are exactly like the silver America the Beautiful quarters offered in mint and proof sets except for their size and weight. There are five 5 ounce silver coins in the set. This is the inaugural set and is limited to just 33,000 pieces. Please remember the US Mint will be doing these 5 ounce silver America The Beautiful Silver sets through the entire run of the America The Beautiful series. Don’t miss this chance to obtain one of these very cool sets and rumor has it these will be the lowest mintage of all the production runs!

The mint screwed up this program terribly from design to distribution. The coins are ugly; one side bears the trite Washington design on the quarter. I just checked online with 4 of the mints’ authorized distributors and they are not selling yet. Come on.
Yes, it is kind of frustrating for everyone. We think they should revise their plan and just sell everything from their site rather than just a few APs.
I totally agree with you David. Let us buy them direct.
Hello can some one help me out i have a 1867 3 cent us coin that i was wanting to sale but i dont know how much i can get for it could some one tell me and to who i can sale it to?
If you could provide us a photo of both sides we could potentially assist you at Manager@coincollectorsstore.com Thank you.
One of the United States Mint’s authorized purchasers (CNT) finally put its 2010 America the Beautiful 5 oz silver coins on sale today (March 8, 2011). A buyer was required to call a toll free number between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. [EST] in order to purchase the coins. My buddy and I called the number for the complete 2 hour period. We were on separate telephone lines and averaged about 6 calls per minute with redial buttons. This amounts to 4 man hours of calling and a total of 1440 telephone calls. We never got through.
This is the process the United States Mint has allowed for the distribution these coins. These authorized purchasers are under the auspices of the Mint. This is a ridiculous process and a prime example of the inefficiency of the United States government. Who ever devised this process should lose their job (and let’s not forget our congressmen). And to think, the government is now in control of healthcare – if that does not scare you, then you don’t have a brain.
Yep, we experienced the same thing Larry. Very frustrating! Looks like 2011 America the Beautiful 5 oz coins will be offered without the limit and a lot more production than 2010 America the Beautiful 5 oz coins.
Anyone know what the issue price was from the Mint to the dealer? And what was the dealer’s initial price to the retail customer?
I ordered the first of the series and got threw by luck. I also have the first 5 coins that were made to bullon buyers. they are very nice and I love them. The low mintage will make these go up in price along with the price of silver. David
The initial run of the 2010 ATB 5 oz. coins is limited to 33,000. The next 2010 run is the “P” mint-marked version available at USMint website. With such low mintage and it’s many “firsts” for the hobby, the 33,000 batch will become more valuable for it’s collector’s appeal than for the silver value.
I believe the “P” mint mark coins will be limited to less than 33,000 that the bullion program provided. I think I read 27,000, but can’t remember the exact number for sure.
Dear sir!
I have ancient islamic coins. I give you information about them:
The first coin was made in Kufa (Iraq) on 135 AH (753 AD) during the authority of Caliph Al-Saffah (749-754).
Information: Al-Kufa mint, dirham, silver, 25 mm.
The second coin was made in Damascus (Syria) on 90 AH (709 AD) during the authority of Caliph Al-Walid (705-715).
Information: Damascus mint, dirham, silver, 27 mm.
I have 60 coins of above-mention coins. And I want to sell them.
The pictures are in attachment.
I forward your reply.
The uncirculated ‘P’ mint mark collector’s 5 ounce coins have much lower mintages than the bullion versions, and are thus much rarer and more desirable. Decades from now, these coins will be worth a lot!
